Discover PB's annual food crawl returns, and it's the best way to taste a dozen Pacific Beach restaurants in one night.

Coast of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk 2026 โ€” What to Know Before You Go on May 20

Mark your calendar: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Coast of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk returns for another year, and it remains the single best way to experience the depth of Pacific Beach's dining scene in a single evening. Organized by Discover PB, the nonprofit business improvement district, the annual event gives ticket holders access to food tastings at participating restaurants west of Dawes Street โ€” no individual tabs, no reservations, just a wristband and an appetite.

What to Expect

The Restaurant Walk typically includes a dozen or more participating restaurants spread across the western half of Pacific Beach. Past years have featured everything from oceanfront seafood bites to artisan pizza slices to craft cocktail pairings. The format is simple: walk in, taste, walk to the next spot, repeat. The event draws a mix of PB locals who want to try somewhere new and visitors using the walk as an introduction to the neighborhood. It sells out, so early ticket purchase is recommended.

Restaurants Worth Hitting

While the 2026 participant list is still being finalized, the western PB corridor is packed with strong candidates. World Famous offers beachfront dining with views of Crystal Pier. Waterbar serves coastal American fare steps from the sand. Oceana Coastal Kitchen pairs elevated plates with cocktails in a boutique hotel setting. Costa Brava, Bare Back Grill, and Tidal all sit within walking distance and have participated in previous years.

Make a Night of It

The walk runs until 9 p.m., but Pacific Beach doesn't shut down after that. Keep the evening going at The Grass Skirt for tiki cocktails, Slowly for something more refined, or Moonshine Beach if you want to dance. If you're visiting from out of town, Pacific Terrace Hotel and The Beach Cottages are walkable to the entire event route, making a car completely unnecessary.

Beyond PB: San Diego's Food Walk Culture

San Diego's beach neighborhoods all have their own food events throughout the year. Coronado hosts seasonal restaurant weeks that showcase Orange Avenue dining. La Jolla and Del Mar each have their own culinary events that highlight their distinct coastal character. But the Coast of PB Restaurant Walk has a particular energy โ€” casual, community-driven, and built around discovery rather than exclusivity.

Tickets and full participant details are available through Discover PB at pacificbeach.org. For the complete directory of every restaurant in the neighborhood, visit San Diego Lineup's Pacific Beach dining page.
