New Restaurants at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista — Yard House, Luna Grill, and More

The 12,100-monthly-search shopping center in Eastlake is adding restaurants as fast as it lost them. Here's what's open and what's coming.

New Restaurants at Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista — Yard House, Luna Grill, and More

Otay Ranch Town Center lost a few restaurants over the past two years. But the Eastlake shopping center on Olympic Parkway has been filling those spaces with new names, and the dining side of the mall looks stronger than it has in a while.

What's Open Now

Yard House opened at the Town Center and brought its signature wall of draft beer taps with it. The menu runs American comfort food with enough variety to satisfy a table of five people who all want different things. Early reviews on Yelp mention attentive service and consistent food quality. It's the kind of anchor restaurant that keeps evening foot traffic moving through the center.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse continues to hold down its corner of the Town Center with house-brewed beer and deep-dish pizza. The Cheesecake Factory pulls the weekend crowds. Olive Garden and Buffalo Wild Wings cover the casual end. And Novo Brazil Brewing's Otay Ranch location gives the center a craft beer option that most malls don't have.

What's Coming

Luna Grill is opening a new location at Chula Vista Center, the Broadway and H Street mall, later in 2026. The 1,449-square-foot space will replace a former Jamba Juice. Luna Grill does Mediterranean food with non-GMO ingredients and grilled-to-order proteins. They already have an Eastlake location at Luna Grill Eastlake on Otay Lakes Road, which has a 4.6 rating and over 1,200 reviews. A second Chula Vista location signals confidence in the local market.

Korean BBQ options have also expanded in the Eastlake area, giving residents an interactive dining experience that was previously a drive to Kearny Mesa or Convoy Street.

Why Otay Ranch Matters

"Otay Ranch Town Center" pulls 12,100 monthly Google searches. That makes it the second-most-searched term in all of Chula Vista, behind only Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. The center is the commercial anchor for everything east of I-805. Families in the 91913 and 91915 ZIP codes treat it as their neighborhood hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Lucky Strike Chula Vista adds bowling and arcade games to the mix. AMC Otay Ranch 12 handles the movie crowd. Combined with the new restaurant additions, the Town Center is building toward a dining and entertainment district that keeps people in Eastlake instead of sending them north.
