Taste of Eastlake 2026 โ€” South Bay's Biggest Food and Craft Beer Fundraiser Returns July 24

The Taste of Eastlake returns on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, 2800 Olympic Parkway. Tickets are $75 per person before July 4 and $80 after. You have to be 21 or older to attend. And every dollar goes to Eastlake K-12 public schools.

What You Get

More than 40 local restaurants, breweries, and beverage partners set up tasting stations across the grounds. The EastLake Educational Foundation bills it as "Bites, Brews, and Garden Views," and the setting delivers. The Elite Athlete Training Center, formerly known as the Olympic Training Center, sits on 155 acres along Olympic Parkway and provides the kind of outdoor space that most food festivals can't match. Live entertainment, a silent auction, and a garden-party atmosphere round out the evening.

Past participants have included restaurants from across the South Bay and the greater Chula Vista dining scene. Expect to see tasting portions from spots like Broken Yolk Cafe, Savoie Italian Eatery, and Luna Grill Eastlake. Local breweries including Novo Brazil and 3 Punk Ales typically pour at the event.

Where the Money Goes

Mary Rose Peralta, executive director of the EastLake Educational Foundation, says 100% of proceeds fund classroom technology and innovation programs at seven K-12 public schools in the Eastlake community. The money has paid for hardware and software upgrades, expanded engineering programs, and robotics initiatives at schools across the Chula Vista area. The event started small and has grown into one of the foundation's largest annual fundraisers.

Getting There

The Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center is at 2800 Olympic Parkway, east of I-805. If you're coming from Third Avenue or western Chula Vista, take Olympic Parkway east through the Eastlake neighborhoods. Parking is available on site. The center sits near Mountain Hawk Park and the Eastlake residential area.

Tickets are available at the EastLake Educational Foundation website. The event sells out, so buy early if you want in. And bring your appetite. Forty-plus vendors means you won't leave hungry.
