Incorporated as a California nonprofit in 1980 under EIN 33-0756038, Point Loma Arts Academy runs summer and after-school arts programs from All Souls' Church at 1475 Catalina Blvd. The Academy's multi-medium curriculum spanning painting, drama, and mixed-media crafts feeds into the broader OB arts-education pipeline that includes hands-on clay instruction at Claytime Ceramics. Class sizes stay small enough for individualized instruction across age groups from elementary through high school. A final-night showcase closes each summer session, putting student work on stage in a live-performance format that echoes the recital programming at The Dancehouse along the same peninsula corridor. The program's most ambitious output is its summer drama production, where students write, rehearse, and stage an original short play over a three-week intensive.
