Founded in 2020 as a San Diego mental health nonprofit, Stronger Together Community Services operates a Hillcrest satellite at 302 Washington St Suite 823 alongside primary office locations in Bay Park and Mira Mesa. Clinicians deliver Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy across individual, couples, and family caseloads, a modality stack that overlaps with the trauma-focused work performed by neighboring therapists including Christopher Wilhelm, LPCC. Training partnerships with University of San Diego, University of San Francisco, Pepperdine, and Alliant International University place the agency inside the master's and doctoral pipeline for California marriage-and-family therapy. Programming extends beyond the office into outdoor adventure-based therapy retreats, women's empowerment workshops, and survivor groups for domestic violence and toxic-relationship recovery, an experiential add-on uncommon among the office-bound clinicians working the same mental health corridor including Dr. David Folsom. The most resource-intensive cases involve survivors of intimate-partner violence whose recovery requires sequenced EMDR reprocessing, attachment-based couples work for healthy re-partnering, and group-based community reintegration unfolding across many months of coordinated care.
