The merger united Harbor Presbyterian Church-North County, planted in 2001 as a multiethnic congregation, with North Coast Presbyterian Church, established on the South El Camino Real property in 1985 — and Redeemer's food-insecurity and housing outreach now extends across the same corridor served by the Leichtag Foundation's community-investment programs. North Coast Presbyterian's four-decade presence on the property gives Redeemer a deep institutional footprint in the New Encinitas community. The PCA denominational framework emphasizes Reformed theology grounded in the Westminster Confession of Faith, a doctrinal tradition distinct from the Wesleyan heritage at San Dieguito United Methodist Church on the same El Camino Real corridor. The South El Camino Real campus supports a Sunday-school program, small-group ministries, and a sanctuary configured for both choral and contemporary worship formats.
