About

Coast Guard-rated for 39 passengers on a 65-by-20-foot hull, Daily Double Sportfishing runs Point Loma's half-day schedules from the Point Loma Sportfishing Landing at 1403 Scott Street on the Sunset Cliffs peninsula. Fresh catch walks across the basin to Point Loma Seafoods, the Emerson-corner seafood market handling filleting, fish tacos, and bottom-dock access for returning Scott Street half-day anglers. Morning and twilight departure rotations cover local yellowtail in the 15- to 25-pound class, sand bass, calico bass, sculpin, and whitefish inside the coastal 3-mile line. The onboard galley serves food and draft beer through the return leg of each trip, with passengers kept from bringing outside alcohol aboard the vessel. Yellowtail from the local rotation transfers cleanly to post-trip fish-taco and aguachile preparations at Los Panchitos Mexican & Seafood, whose Mexican-seafood kitchen runs regional ceviche and Baja-style plates. Ticketed Coronado Islands trips extend the range into Mexican federal waters with FMM permits, bio-bracelets, and passport-required boarding for yellowtail, yellowfin, and dorado off the Baja coast.
