Captain Ezekiel 'Zeek' Cruz, born and raised in Point Loma and holding a 520-pound swordfish and 360-pound bluefin tuna on his trip log, captains Bluebill Charters. The 49-foot Shaw-Westport sportfisher holds USCG UPV certification for up to 6 passengers and docks at 1500 Quivira Way, running half-day through multi-day Point Loma charter operations in parallel with Boundless Boat Charters on the same coastline. Fishing trips target bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, dorado, mahi mahi, halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and white seabass from half-day local runs through 12-hour and overnight offshore departures to the Coronado Islands and San Clemente Island. Zeek started as a deckhand at age ten and has accumulated more than two decades of Southern California ocean-angling experience, with long-range scheduling that overlaps fleet operations at Fisherman's Landing on Scott Street. Overnight multi-day offshore charters with onboard sleeping quarters, full bathroom and kitchen, included gear, meals, and fish processing represent the most involved trips the vessel runs.
