About

Established in 1950 as the northerly-most of Point Loma's three Scott Street sportfishing landings, Fisherman's Landing anchors 2838 Garrison Street with one of the West Coast's deepest long-range fleets. The on-site Fisherman's Landing Tackle Shop stocks one of San Diego's most complete long-range gear selections, a scale that sits alongside pier-end independent tackle-and-food operations including Fathom Bistro, Bait, and Tackle at the Shelter Island Pier. The long-range fleet tied up at the dock spans the Excel, Polaris Supreme, Royal Polaris, Royal Star, Searcher, and Shogun -- the vessels that run multi-week trips deep into Baja and the Revillagigedos. Coastal short-range and overnight boats including the Constitution, Fortune, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Queen, Pegasus, and Tomahawk round out the berthing schedule, with marine supplies sourced through nearby chandlers such as San Diego Marine Exchange. Seasonal programming extends to whale watching tours of Southern California waters alongside half-day open-party trips aboard the Dolphin, which handles the landing's high-volume family and beginner fishing schedule. The deepest rotation on the calendar is the full multi-week long-range schedule where 16- to 20-plus-day trips aboard the Excel, Royal Polaris, and Royal Star target trophy yellowfin and wahoo at Hurricane Bank and Alijos Rocks.
