Operated by Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation in Point Loma, San Diego, the Community Recreation Center and Take 5 Restaurant at 546 White Road serves active-duty personnel, contractors, and authorized base visitors with a combined dining counter, gaming lounge, and event-programming facility. The center sits on the main campus of Naval Base Point Loma, where the Take 5ive Grille turns out fast-casual plates including burgers, teriyaki bowls, and carne asada fries with online ordering through the Navy's Dine on The Go system. Pool tables, ping pong, retro arcade cabinets, modern gaming consoles, a screening room, and free Wi-Fi computer stations round out the recreation side. MWR's Community Recreation division also coordinates off-base tours, kayak and paddleboard outings, and outdoor-equipment rentals from the same peninsula that includes Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery and the Cabrillo National Monument corridor to the south. Ticketed group events and catering packages for unit functions accommodate up to 300 guests when paired with the nearby Oceanview banquet facility overlooking the Pacific.
