Minimal-intervention winery Oddish Wine in Point Loma, San Diego launched in 2022 from the same team behind the Mazer Cup-winning Lost Cause Meadery, producing natural wines from San Diego County vineyard contracts alongside co-fermented fruit wines, house-made vermouth, and canned spritzes. The tasting room shares The Gärten communal patio with co-located Deft Brewing, where patrons move between beer, mead, and natural wine without leaving the venue. Rotating releases include skin-contact orange wines from locally grown Malvasia grapes, naturally sparkling pineapple-Chardonnay co-ferments, and a tart-cherry vermouth built on a botanical recipe developed in-house. The retail bottle program sells vermouths and the pineapple-forward Amaro D'Oro as cocktail bases for home bartenders—a to-go offering complemented by cheese-board pairings at nearby Wine Garden Cheese Shop in the Midway District San Diego corridor. Barrel-aged amaro and single-vineyard reserve bottlings represent the winery's most complex productions, available exclusively at the taproom.
