Teaching San Diego musicians since 2003 from a multi-room studio at 4051 Voltaire St, Paper Moon Music covers guitar, piano, ukulele, violin, bass, banjo, and voice through private one-on-one lessons with university-trained instructors. Students move through classical, flamenco, jazz, rock, blues, bluegrass, Latin, folk, and country repertoire in soundproofed rooms equipped with amps and Bluetooth stereos, sharing a block of Voltaire with RS Woodwinds’ Straubinger-certified instrument-repair bench. Quarterly recitals, monthly jazz jams, and a pre-recital open mic give students low-pressure stage time, while master-class workshops—including a Leyenda Foundation classical guitar concert featuring students of Pepe Romero—bring visiting artists into the studio.
