Creating custom maps and print design since 1998, Ottographix has produced more than 5,000 maps for clients worldwide from its OB studio, with a specialized niche in subdivision and neighborhood-boundary maps for title agencies that no standard GIS vendor had mapped reliably. The studio produces and sells the Ocean Beach Map Poster, a 20"x24" illustrated map researched on foot by walking the town and the Sunset Cliffs Trail with locals and lifeguards to place jetties, surf breaks, trail heads, and local-only spots accurately — a cartographic depth that also informs supplemental design work for neighborhood institutions including the Ocean Beach Farmers Market held every Wednesday on Newport Ave. Graphic-design services run alongside the cartography line: menu design, logo design, poster design, magazine and book layout, flyer design, and business cards for OB and San Diego County clients. Vector-editable, royalty-free map downloads are sold through the companion OttoMaps catalog, covering San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura, San Francisco, and select out-of-state areas. Custom subdivision-map work continues to be an active title-industry revenue line, with the same property-boundary detail useful to OB listing brokers including Sand and Sea Realty when marketing materials need precise neighborhood visualization. The most complex engagements are multi-panel custom city-map commissions requiring on-foot research, subdivision-boundary digitization, landmark placement, and a print-production file large enough to survive 20"x24" or larger output — a scope few regional design studios can execute end-to-end.
