Founded in 1994 by San Diego graphic artist Mario Lopez, Toltec Graphics operates from Suite 203 at 2700 Adams Avenue in Normal Heights, 92116. Lopez started in the visual arts as a teenager running a screen-printing operation for local organizations before expanding into full-service graphic design and clothing merchandising in 1991. The studio produces custom print design, signage, vehicle wraps, apparel graphics, and commercial illustration, drawing on Lopez's background in urban and popular culture to develop a trademark style that crosses commercial and fine-art applications. Toltec's apparel work includes full-line clothing design for independent labels, covering tech-pack development and colorway specification through production-ready separations, and that print production expertise feeds the same Adams Avenue corridor where Fall Brewing Company commissions can label art, tap handle graphics, and seasonal event collateral.
