Dianne Jacob Lakeside Equestrian Park spans 13.88 acres at the corner of Moreno Avenue and Willow Road in Lakeside, a $16.9 million county facility that held its ribbon cutting in December 2023 after construction began in 2020. The park's covered arena and secondary outdoor arena host reining, jumping, dressage, and barrel-racing competitions alongside non-equestrian bookings like wedding receptions and farmers markets, complementing the event programming at Hazy Meadow Ranch on El Monte Road. Named for the San Diego County Supervisor who championed park projects during her 28-year tenure, the facility is operated by Equine Event Services under contract with the County Department of Parks and Recreation. The 3,200-square-foot banquet hall with commercial kitchen, RV hookups, and livestock corrals attract multi-day equestrian events from across Southern California, drawing the same outdoor-recreation traffic that supports Willowbrook Golf Course on Riverside Drive. A 1.1-acre public-use staging area with a 24-by-24-foot shade pavilion, ADA-accessible parking, and a perimeter trail connects the park to the surrounding Moreno Avenue residential corridor.
