The 10-story, 364-bed facility — connected by footbridge to Scripps Green Hospital's Torrey Pines campus two miles north — opened in 2016 and houses three specialty pavilions: the Vassiliadis Pavilion for Advanced Surgery (14 operating rooms), the Foster Pavilion for Cancer Care (108 beds, affiliated with Moores Cancer Center), and the Rady Pavilion for Women and Infants (eight labor rooms, 32 postpartum suites, a three-room midwife birth center). The sixth floor is California's only open inpatient unit with full-floor air filtration, allowing blood and marrow transplant patients to move freely throughout the ward.
