About

Board-certified in both biofeedback (BCB) and neurofeedback (BCN) through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, Lisa Black, PsyD earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with an integrative emphasis from Alliant International University in San Diego before completing postdoctoral training at UC San Diego. As a UCSD Frontiers of Innovation Scholars Program (FISP) grantee she built the neurofeedback service line into UCSD Health's family medicine program, the same primary-care infrastructure operated out of UC San Diego Health 4th & Lewis Medical Offices at the corner where her 330 Lewis Street office sits. She served seven years as the lead therapist for UCSD Health's sports medicine concussion clinic, treating post-concussion syndrome, traumatic brain injury, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression and ADHD using ketamine-assisted EMDR, somatic therapies and parts work. Her current role as Clinical Director of Silvi Integrative Health continues that integrative-medicine framework, contrasting with the more conventional CBT-and-medication coordination model used at Health Psychology Services. The most demanding cases pair post-concussion cognitive symptoms with pre-existing PTSD, requiring sequenced biofeedback and neurofeedback baseline reads followed by ketamine-assisted EMDR over a multi-month protocol.
