St Andrew's Episcopal Church, founded in 1885 as an Episcopal mission to the new town of Encinitas, worships at 890 Balour Drive near Encinitas Community Park. The parish is part of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and operates one of Encinitas's most extensive community-service campuses, running a weekly food pantry, Showers of Blessings hygiene program, and Neighborhood Center with computer access and mail services — an outreach scope that complements the congregation-based community initiatives at Seacoast Community Church on El Camino Real. The current building was consecrated in 1999 following a capital campaign, and a 2016 renovation after a fire expanded the food-pantry footprint, added a courtyard, and converted the former preschool building into an education center. The church's choral Rite Two Eucharist features a paid and volunteer choir under a dedicated organist and choirmaster, contributing to the same North County performing-arts corridor that includes Pacific View Arts Center's galleries and performance space on South Coast Highway 101. The Balour Drive campus traces its origins to 1885 when an Episcopal mission was established as one of six North County missions, making it one of the oldest continuously active faith communities in the Encinitas area.
