About

Duck Foot Brewing's Leucadia tasting room on North Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas pours 20-plus taps of the Miramar-based brewery's gluten-reduced craft beer one block from the beach. Every batch undergoes enzyme-based gluten reduction and independent lab testing — a quality-control protocol that built the brewery's reputation alongside Leucadia's resident food vendors, including Haggo's Organic Taco, which runs a regular food-truck rotation at the taproom. The brewery launched in Miramar in 2015 after a co-founder's celiac disease diagnosis drove a search for craft beer safe for gluten-intolerant drinkers. The 1,200-square-foot Leucadia outpost replaced the former Kings & Convicts space on the 101 and runs weekly trivia nights, bingo, and live music alongside the brewery's core and seasonal lineup. The taproom sits on the same North Coast Highway 101 stretch as Hansen Surfboards, anchoring a Leucadia corridor where surf culture and craft brewing converge. Flagship pours rotate between hop-forward West Coast IPAs, barrel-aged stouts, and the brewery's signature fruit-infused sours fermented on 1-barrel pilot systems dating to the original garage operation.
