NOVA SD in downtown San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter fills the 19,000-square-foot venue at 454 Sixth Avenue — previously OMNIA Nightclub and before that Stingaree — launched in February 2022 by Insomniac Events with Tao Group Hospitality as minority partner. Three levels — the expanded main-floor dance floor, a mezzanine balcony, and a 400-capacity rooftop terrace — run a custom L'Acoustics sound system and a concave LED wall above the DJ booth, a production build in the same Gaslamp nightlife tier as Parq Nightclub a few blocks south. Insomniac's branded programming cycles Factory 93 techno, Dreamstate trance, Bassrush bass music, and the '90s/'00s throwback series Time Machine through the main room, booking globally touring headliners from the same roster that fills Echostage in D.C. and Exchange LA in Hollywood. A rooftop bar and VIP booth section overlook the skyline above Sixth Avenue, offering bottle-service packages separate from the general-admission floor — a split-tier model that contrasts with the street-level cocktail bar format at Taste & Thirst around the corner. Full-venue buyouts convert the three-level space into a single-production event for up to 1,500 guests with custom lighting rigs, A/V programming, and dedicated hospitality coordination for corporate launches, brand activations, and private concert bookings.
