About

North Cays Park in Coronado covers two acres at the northern tip of Coronado Cays Boulevard, providing a play structure, shade trees, and picnic tables to the gated waterfront community south of the Silver Strand. The park anchors the northern entrance to the Cays, a residential enclave on San Diego Bay positioned between the Silver Strand State Beach corridor and the Loews Coronado Bay Resort marina along Coronado Bay Road. A community workshop held in October 2024 gathered resident input for a planned playground redesign, following Coronado's island-wide initiative to bring universally accessible play equipment to all eight city parks by the end of the decade. The 75-person-capacity lawn permits bounce houses by city permit, and the small parking lot gives Cays homeowners direct access to the adjacent Grand Caribe Shoreline jogging path — a waterfront loop near the same Coronado Cays corridor where Cays Yoga & Pilates runs classes for local residents. Site amenities include ADA-accessible benches, a composite play structure with shade canopy, and an unobstructed sightline across San Diego Bay toward the downtown skyline and Point Loma.
