About

Eastlake High School in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista has operated on Eastlake Parkway since the campus first enrolled students on September 8, 1992, growing to serve approximately 2,710 students in grades nine through twelve within the Sweetwater Union High School District. The college-like campus east of State Route 125 features the Ruth Chapman Performing Arts Center, an outdoor amphitheatre, an on-site observatory, and a dedicated engineering department — infrastructure that supports a post-secondary pipeline into Laurus College – Chula Vista and four-year universities statewide. Over 100 clubs and activities include the TitanBot FIRST Robotics team, ACE Architecture-Construction-Engineering program, Cyber Security club, Girls in Tech, and an Academic League squad that captured the San Diego County Championship in 2008. The Titan Regiment marching band, concert band, and color guard collect tournament awards annually, and the campus earned California Distinguished School designation in both 2005 and 2013 — complementing the Olympic-caliber training corridor at Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center nearby on Eastlake Parkway. The pre-engineering program won the Gold Bell Award in 2006, and the campus co-hosts an annual FIRST Lego League qualifying tournament welcoming 24 teams to compete for a berth in the Southern California Championships at Legoland.
