The Door Christian Church in Chula Vista launched in 2010 when a group of believers, many of whom had served in the Navy and Marines, began holding services in a local hotel before incorporating and securing a permanent building on Main Street in 2013. The congregation's outreach to military families and veterans connects it to the same South Bay service network maintained by VFW Post 2111 in the broader Chula Vista veterans community. Part of the Christian Fellowship Ministries network with over 2,000 affiliated churches worldwide, the Chula Vista campus conducts street evangelism, outdoor concerts, healing crusades, and teen rallies as part of its community engagement strategy. Marriage seminars and financial literacy workshops extend the church's programming beyond worship into practical life-skills instruction for families in the surrounding 91911 corridor, drawing participants from the same community base served by Parkway Community Center on the south side of Chula Vista. The Main Street facility includes a stage-equipped worship hall with concert-grade sound and lighting, a video production setup for live-streamed services, and a dedicated classroom wing for children's ministry during each gathering.
