Call of Zion in Chula Vista is a veteran-owned, women-led nondenominational church that three founding families launched on Del Mar Avenue in 2011 with park-based prayer walks and acoustic worship. Youth programming anchors the ministry calendar with age-specific discipleship tracks, and the congregation coordinates teen volunteer projects through South Bay Youth Center in the surrounding South Bay neighborhoods. The first formal gathering convened in mid-2012, and the church has since built out a full Sunday worship service, midweek Bible study, and quarterly baptism events. Community-integration efforts focus on western Chula Vista between Del Mar Avenue and the Broadway corridor, partnering with Chula Vista Youth Center for after-school mentorship and seasonal resource-distribution events. Restoration-focused pastoral counseling and family enrichment workshops run on a rotating monthly schedule alongside the core teaching calendar. The 332 Del Mar Avenue facility includes a 150-seat worship room with a raised platform stage, a four-piece band setup, and a dedicated children's wing with two age-separated classrooms.
