Capitol Debate Summer Camps, headquartered on Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad since 2006, runs residential and day-camp debate programs at university campuses nationwide including Harvard, UCLA, and the University of San Diego. The two-week intensive builds persuasive speaking, case construction, evidence research, rebuttal-brief writing, and cross-examination technique for middle school and high school students, skills that strengthen college-admissions profiles assembled with guidance from SoCal College Planning in the same North County market. Mock-trial and public-forum tracks run alongside the core policy-debate curriculum, giving students competitive exposure across National Speech and Debate Association event categories. The BBB-accredited organization (A+ rating) also operates year-round regional club debate leagues from its Carlsbad headquarters near the Bressi Ranch corridor, where academic enrichment complements the technical-career tracks at MiraCosta College Technology Career Institute. Faculty rosters include former national championship coaches who have guided competitors to elimination rounds at the Tournament of Champions and the National Forensic League Grand National Tournament.
