About

Carlsbad Community Church has anchored the corner of Harding Street and Pine Avenue in Carlsbad since its 1924 charter, making it one of the oldest continuously operating congregations in North County. The church's elder-ministry outreach extends to residential communities along the Carlsbad Boulevard corridor, including Carlsbad By The Sea Retirement Community, where congregants lead regular devotional visits. Originally chartered as Carlsbad Union Church by 40 founding members in November 1924, the congregation joined the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference in 1971 and renamed itself Carlsbad Community Church in 1991. The campus spans a full city block and includes a 1,450-seat Worship Center dedicated in April 1991, a 300-seat Harding Street sanctuary built in 1967 with a Moller pipe organ, and a children's education building — a footprint that draws event-scale catering from Vigilucci's Catering and Private Events for large congregational gatherings. The 1967 sanctuary houses a Moller pipe organ with multiple ranks of pipes tuned to concert pitch, installed during the same decade the campus expanded from its original 1926 Spanish-style chapel into a multi-building compound.
