Burgeon Beer Company in Carlsbad's Aviara corridor brews hop-forward IPAs and pale ales at its production facility on Yarrow Drive near Batiquitos Lagoon. Founded in 2016, the brewery earned a Silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival for its Carlsbad Crush Mosaic Pale Ale and a Bronze at the World Beer Cup for Tight Focus IPA, building a competition pedigree that places it alongside the artisan producers in the same industrial park — including the eight-time sofi Award–winning chocolate factory at Chuao Chocolatier. Four taproom locations — Carlsbad, Escondido, Little Italy, and Vista — pour from the same Yarrow Drive production line, with the Carlsbad headquarters maintaining 12 rotating taps of beer only, no cider or wine. The Greenhouse, a 2,100-square-foot private event suite adjacent to the taproom, hosts up to 100 guests with in-house coordination, bartenders, and partnerships with permitted caterers such as Vigilucci's Catering and Private Events. Flagship Carlsbad Crush loads a single-hop Mosaic bill into a 5.1% ABV pale ale, pushing tropical-citrus aromatics through a dry finish calibrated to remain sessionable in a market dominated by higher-gravity haze.
