Santee Lake RV Resort anchors the campground inside the 190-acre Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve on Fanita Parkway in Santee's Carlton Hills district. The 300 full-hookup sites are arrayed across Lakefront, Mulberry, Sycamore, and Willow loops, each with electric, water, and sewer connections, and the preserve's five-mile paved trail network links to the broader East County cycling infrastructure serviced by Pedego Electric Bikes Santee on Town Center Parkway. Seven seasonally stocked lakes supply catfish in summer and rainbow trout in winter, and campers fish without a California state license by purchasing a permit at the on-site General Store. Ten rental cabins—seven lakefront and three floating structures moored on Lake 7—add fixed-roof lodging to the RV inventory, and the General Store is supplemented by Lakes Market & Deli on Carlton Hills Boulevard for provisioning runs beyond the basics.
