Established in 1966, Santana High School in Santee is a WASC-accredited public high school serving approximately 1,712 students in grades 9 through 12 within the Grossmont Union High School District on Magnolia Avenue. The campus offers driver education coursework that prepares students for behind-the-wheel instruction at programs such as Teen Driving School Inc on Wahl Street. AP courses, Project Lead The Way pathways, and a Gifted and Talented program anchor the academic curriculum under the Sultans banner in purple, gold, and white. Varsity and junior varsity athletes compete in CIF San Diego Section sports including football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, cross-country, and tennis. Student-athletes source training gear from East County retailers such as Al's Sport Shop on Mission Gorge Road.
