About

A 32.5-foot Worldcat center-console six-pack charter, Torqued Sportfishing operates out of Point Loma's Shelter Island Drive under its owner-founder captain. The Worldcat hull sits slipped on the 1561 Shelter Island stretch near Kona Kai Marina, positioning Torqued within the peninsula's small-group six-pack charter tier rather than the 20-plus-angler party-boat class at the commercial landings. Target trips split across San Diego Bay bass-and-halibut runs, Coronado Islands yellowtail excursions, rockfish-and-lobster combos, and offshore bluefin tuna expeditions. The crew runs 25 years of combined saltwater experience, split between a decade-plus of Atlantic-and-Pacific guiding and a Northern California outdoorsman background on the deck side. Tackle-station pre-trip stops for live bait, leader material, and terminal hardware typically run through Shelter Island fixtures such as Fathom Bistro, Bait, and Tackle. Full-day offshore trophy-bluefin charters under the summer tuna push, with custom rigging for 100-pound-plus fish, represent the most technically demanding trip package the operation books.
