About

Backed by H&M Landing’s sportfishing heritage dating to 1935, Premier Sportfishing in Point Loma departs Emerson Street for half-day, full-day, and multi-day pelagic trips into the offshore banks. The vessel’s large galley seats 36 with full hot-and-cold food service, while an upper observation deck accommodates 15—a capacity that pairs well with the rod-and-reel outfitting available at Squidco Fishing before departure. Target species rotate seasonally: yellowtail and white seabass on the local kelp beds in spring, bluefin and yellowfin tuna on the offshore banks through summer, and albacore and dorado on extended-range runs into fall. The Emerson Street dock sits in Point Loma’s densest sportfishing corridor, giving anglers same-trip access to the long-range fleet at Point Loma Sportfishing one pier over for multi-day expeditions deeper into Mexican waters. The most demanding charters are overnight tuna runs targeting 50-plus-pound-class bluefin on the outer banks, requiring live-bait rigging, fluorocarbon leaders, and pre-dawn set-up in open-ocean swells.
