Founded in San Diego's East Village in 2007, The Kebab Shop's Point Loma location on Rosecrans Street brings the chain's Dutch-German döner-kebab tradition to the Midway District. The menu rotates around vertical-spit-roasted proteins — chicken shawarma, lamb-beef döner, and falafel — carved to order and served as wraps, plates, or rice bowls, a spit-roast format shared on the Rosecrans corridor with Kebab Craft. Each protein gets a proprietary marinade traced to Rotterdam street-stall recipes, then finishes under house-made garlic or harissa sauce ladled from squeeze bottles at the counter. Vegan and vegetarian builds substitute grilled-to-order falafel patties for meat, giving the Point Loma San Diego location a plant-forward lane distinct from the grilled-protein focus at Georgia's Greek Cuisine.
