About

Contracted through San Diego Regional Center for disability services, Options For All in Point Loma's Midway District supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from its Pacific Highway campus. The nonprofit's supported-employment track places participants in competitive community jobs with on-site coaching, running a vocational pipeline along the same corridor where Veterans Village of San Diego provides parallel workforce-reentry programming for veterans. Tailored day programs emphasize participant choice — each individual selects goals around independent living, creative expression, or social engagement, and staff build a customized schedule rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum. A microenterprise initiative teaches participants to launch small ventures, including a coffee-cart operation at the San Diego Botanic Garden that functions as both job training and a revenue-generating social enterprise. That participant-driven model aligns with the inclusion framework promoted by Kids Included Together, another Point Loma San Diego organization building systems-level disability-inclusion capacity across the county. The most resource-intensive offering is the full community-integration continuum — employment placement, independent-living coaching, social-skill development, and creative programming — delivered as a single coordinated HCBS package for adults whose service plans require wraparound support.
