Black-owned and women-owned, Kebab Craft in Point Loma's Liberty Station opened inside Liberty Public Market in August 2022 with a Parisian-trained executive chef's Mediterranean-Middle Eastern menu built on Syrian heirloom recipes. The signature Cali Kebab — a French-fry-stuffed tortilla wrap with choice of sliced-to-order shawarma, gyro, steak kebab, or house-made falafel — bridges SoCal burrito culture with traditional kebab format, a fusion approach distinct from the Greek-leaning plate service at Luna Grill Liberty Station nearby. Build-your-own plates, bowls, and pitas let diners customize protein-topping-sauce combinations from an unlimited toppings bar, with loaded pita chips running as a Mediterranean-style nacho platter on the shareables menu. A portion of every sale routes to the San Diego Food Bank — 7,000 meals donated in 2023 alone — integrating the SDTA Tourism Accelerator graduate's philanthropic model into the Liberty Station restaurants dining scene alongside Tender Greens. Catering builds scale shawarma platters, falafel trays, and Cali Kebab dozens for corporate and private events, leveraging the Liberty Public Market kitchen for large-format Mediterranean service across Liberty Station.
