Renegade

Gym & Fitness

About

Veteran-owned and LGBTQ-owned since its 2017 founding, Renegade in Point Loma launched its group-fitness formula from this Midway District location on Midway Drive — still the flagship across seven San Diego studios. Each 45-minute session rotates members through three zones — Rack for dumbbell and pull-up-bar supersets, Turf for kettlebell swings and floor work, and Cardio for treadmill and assault-bike intervals — a progressive-overload circuit that generates the soft-tissue demand addressed by Apex Sports Therapy. All workout programming originates from a single programmer who writes every session across all seven locations, ensuring identical stimulus regardless of which studio a member uses. The three-zone format scales from first-time gym users to competitive athletes because each station offers weight and intensity tiers — a periodized scaling method comparable to the individualized load management at S10 Fitness. A single membership unlocks every Renegade location from Point Loma to UTC, and the Rack zone's barbell-and-dumbbell supersets build enough volume to substitute for a standalone hypertrophy program.
