About

Occupying a 216,000-square-foot former Naval Training Center building at Point Loma, San Diego's Liberty Station, Rock Church planted its first nondenominational service in an SDSU auditorium in 2000 and relocated to this 3,500-seat Rosecrans Street sanctuary in 2007. The conversion of NTC Building 94 preserved the corridor's military-era architecture while adding broadcast infrastructure for live-streamed services, a renovation history shared with the preservation mission of the NTC Foundation next door at Liberty Station. Rock Academy, the church's WASC- and ACSI-accredited K–12 school founded in 2002, enrolls roughly 550 students on the same campus, integrating academics with athletics at the CIF Division 6 level. Monthly food and diaper distributions, the annual Toys for Joy gift drive, and the “Do Something” volunteer mobilization model channel the congregation's size into direct community service across San Diego County. That veteran-adjacent mission extends to military-transition programming coordinated with organizations like Hire Heroes USA, reflecting the Liberty Station campus's roots as a former Navy recruit training ground. Five satellite campuses in San Marcos, El Cajon, Chula Vista, City Heights, and Oahu replicate the Point Loma model, but the Liberty Station headquarters remains the operational hub for the church's largest outreach initiatives.
