About

Established in 2018 on Shelter Island in Point Loma, San Diego, Ketch Grill and Taps brews its own Ketch Brewing label and pours from 20 dedicated house taps overlooking the marina basin. A rotating raw-oyster program and New England-style clam chowder built around same-day harbor landings set the Point Loma seafood menu apart from Shelter Island peers like Bali Hai Restaurant. Sand dabs piccata, seared ahi, and a grilled New York strip split the entrée lineup between sea and land, backed by cocktails built spirit-forward rather than syrup-heavy. Ketch Brewing’s in-house lager and IPA recipes rotate seasonally across the 20-handle tap wall, a house-brewery model rare among Point Loma restaurants and distinct from the guest-tap focus at Eppig Brewing Co. Waterfront Biergarten. Weekend brunch adds lobster eggs Benedict and shrimp-and-grits to the waterfront program, extending a single Shelter Island address into a morning-through-dinner harbor dining destination.
