About

Founded by Jaclyn Sarnese, M.S.Ed., elevatEd Classrooms is an educational consulting firm at 1001 Garnet Ave Suite 200 in Pacific Beach, 92109. Sarnese began her career as a biology teacher in New Jersey, where she built a biomedical sciences magnet program before earning her master's in education policy from the University of Pennsylvania. She relocated to San Diego and launched the LLC in January 2021 with a mission to close the gap between national education standards and what actually works inside local classrooms. The consultancy specializes in social-emotional learning workshops, STEM curriculum coaching, and school-policy redesign for K-12 administrators and teachers — all offered from its Suite 200 office in the same Garnet Avenue building that houses The French Gourmet. Sarnese serves as co-chair of the Innovation in K-12 Working Group within the San Diego STEM Ecosystem, collaborating with UC San Diego CREATE, the Department of Defense STEM initiative, and the San Diego Workforce Partnership on equitable education access. In March 2022 elevatEd Classrooms took first place at the Connect All at the Jacobs Center's Union Bank Start-Up Pitch Competition, earning coverage on KUSI's Good Morning San Diego. The firm identifies as women-owned, operates by appointment, and offers both online and in-person sessions. elevatEd Classrooms partners with schools across California and nationwide, though its headquarters and consulting hub remain rooted in the Pacific Beach community where Sarnese also contributes to anti-racism education through the Inclusion 1st Project. A few blocks west on Garnet, Cool Creations, Pottery & Art Studio offers hands-on pottery and art workshops that complement the creative learning strategies elevatEd brings to classrooms. Booking is available through HubSpot, and educators interested in professional development cohorts can reach the team at (619) 485-0710.
