About

Inside a converted 4,800-square-foot warehouse at 5111 Santa Fe St, 92109, Drip Creative Studio is a Filipina- and women-owned creative space that blends dance training with professional photo, video, and podcast production. The facility houses six distinct rooms, including two sprung-floor dance studios totaling more than 2,000 square feet, multiple photo and video sets, a dedicated podcast room, and San Diego's only rain room. The Rain Room spans 400 square feet and features three custom water formations — a small circle, a large circle, and a zig-zag pattern — with hollow centers that keep hair and makeup dry while creating the visual illusion of rainfall. Dance classes run daily in styles such as contemporary, Afro beats, jazz funk, and heels, with levels ranging from beginner through advanced. Photographers and videographers working long sessions can refuel at Cafe Athena on Emerald Street, just a short drive south. Three roll-up garage doors on the ground floor flood the main studio with natural light and make equipment load-in effortless, while 78 lockers and additional cubbies keep personal items secure during shoots and classes. The Tulum-inspired Studio Sol showcases a seven-foot circular structure and staircase, a lush plant wall, and limewash finishes beneath a 20-foot ceiling. Creators often cap a production day with drinks at SD TapRoom on Garnet Avenue. Booking is available through the studio's website and through Peerspace, with rentals including RGB lighting, spotlights, and Bluetooth speakers.
