Dirty Birds Pacific Beach is an American bar & grill at 4656 Mission Blvd in the 92109, and it is the original location where co-founders Jon Ollis and Adam Jacoby launched the brand in 2008. Known locally as the "OG" Dirty Birds, this Mission Boulevard sports bar built its reputation on an east coast–inspired wing program that now offers nearly 40 sauce flavors, from classic buffalo to creative house blends developed through in-house tastings. Yahoo Sports and TheDailyMeal.com ranked the wings among the ten best in America, and San Diego readers have voted them Best Wings multiple years running. Beyond the signature bird, the menu serves half-pound burgers, sandwiches, sliders, and salads alongside a full bar stocked with local craft beers and cocktails. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., and all-day Tuesday specials keep regulars coming back midweek. The walls are lined with flat-screens carrying NFL, MLB, NBA, and NCAA packages, making it a reliable game-day headquarters. Fellow sports-bar fans on the boardwalk can also check out Sandbar Sports Grill for a similarly lively atmosphere. Since the PB flagship, Dirty Birds has expanded to the College Area near SDSU, Liberty Station, Ocean Beach, and the UCSD campus in La Jolla, with a franchised Oceanside outpost expected in 2026. The restaurant seats families during the day—with a kids' menu, high chairs, and changing tables—then shifts to a louder, college-and-tourist crowd after dark. Walk south on Mission Blvd for waterfront dining at Costa Brava, which offers a different coastal menu along the same stretch.
