Operating since 2004 in the Voltaire-corridor strip mall at 3704 Voltaire Street, Ortiz's Taco Shop runs a counter-service Mexican menu anchored by two house signatures: the California burrito with carne asada, fries, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese, and the Sabroso surf-and-turf burrito layering carne asada with shrimp. Asada, al pastor, carnitas, and Baja fish tacos run off the same line as carne asada fries, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and chile rellenos, putting Ortiz's in direct menu overlap with Voltaire-corridor Mexican peer Don Tommy's Mexican Food a few blocks east.
