Our Church – Food Distribution Center operates a twice-weekly food bank from the campus of Crosspointe Life Church at 8809 La Mesa Boulevard, distributing staples and produce to East County households. The distribution runs out of the rear parking lot off Jackson Drive, and the program shares La Mesa's broader food-assistance network with ministry-based providers including Journey Community Church and its Journey Food Ministries operation. Participants must be 18 or older with a photo ID or mail showing a current address, and each household receives one box per visit. A monthly evening distribution supplements the regular daytime schedule, expanding access for residents whose work schedules conflict with morning hours. The food-assistance corridor along La Mesa Boulevard connects multiple congregation-based pantries, with La Mesa Seventh-Day Adventist Community Church running a parallel program on Spring Gardens Road. Distribution logistics require cold-chain coordination for perishable produce, pallet-scale deliveries from regional food bank partners, volunteer sorting crews, and USDA compliance tracking for commodity items.
