About

Founded in 1954 as a Wesleyan Methodist congregation, Skyline Church in La Mesa's Casa de Oro district has grown from a 350-seat chapel in Lemon Grove to a multi-campus operation on Campo Road. The church's pastoral care ministry includes referral coordination with faith-aligned practitioners such as Christian Counseling SD, extending clinical support to congregants and area families. Skyline relocated to its current Campo Road campus in 2000 and opened a 60,000-square-foot worship center in March 2012, anchoring the largest single-sanctuary seating capacity in La Mesa. A children's ministry wing, youth track, and café operate inside the adjacent Family Center, and the worship program's full-band contemporary format adds to La Mesa's live-music landscape alongside studios like Tiffany Music Academy. A second campus at 9455 Los Coches Road in Lakeside extends the Wesleyan denomination's coverage across eastern San Diego County. The main auditorium seats 2,500 in a theater-style configuration with integrated A/V infrastructure, while a 200-seat traditional chapel and a full gymnasium occupy adjacent structural bays within the worship center complex.
