La Mesa Village Church in La Mesa Village occupies a chapel on Orange Avenue whose origins trace to the congregation's 1911 founding as First Baptist Church of La Mesa. The chapel structure was relocated one block from Acacia Avenue and La Mesa Boulevard in 1927 and now serves as a recognized local historical landmark, part of the same early-twentieth-century civic heritage preserved at the La Mesa History Center. Renamed during a 2016–2019 replanting initiative, the church follows elder-led governance centered on expositional Bible teaching and weekly communion. A Waypoint Youth Outreach program and children's classes through sixth grade extend the congregation's discipleship model to younger families, a faith-based youth-formation approach shared by St Andrew's Parish Day School in the southern 91941 ZIP. The multi-building campus includes a nursery equipped with live-stream worship feed, a dedicated youth loft, and segmented classroom space for simultaneous age-group instruction.
