Pete's Place on La Mesa Boulevard in La Mesa Village is a third-generation bar operating out of the same 1954 brick-walled space at the corner of Palm Avenue. Twenty beers rotate through the tap system behind a bar framed by the original high ceilings and exposed brick, a mid-century interior that shares the Village's walkable dining block with taco counters like City Tacos. Two coin-operated pool tables, a digital jukebox, ten sports screens — including one on the heated back patio — and a dartboard fill the entertainment program. The outside-food policy pairs the bar's draft list with the full restaurant menus available on the same La Mesa Village block, including the Italian kitchen at Centifonti's Bar & Restaurant a few doors down. The County of San Diego health inspection program scores the bar at 96 out of 100, applied across the 20-handle draft system, well pours, and glassware sanitation in the original 1954 bar structure.
