Founded in 2008 as a women-owned and LGBTQ+-owned ceramics workshop, Get Centered Clay Studio on Case Street provides wheel-throwing and handbuilding instruction in La Mesa's Grossmont district. Beginner wheel classes teach centering, opening, and cylinder-pulling across multi-week sessions, producing functional bowls, mugs, and vases that are kiln-fired with food-safe glazes—the same hand-thrown aesthetic sought by floral designers at 96 Flowers & 13 Stems for custom vessel commissions. The studio also offers fused-glass workshops using 96 COE glass, private wheel lessons for individuals or couples, and open-studio memberships granting independent kiln and wheel access to experienced ceramists. Under new ownership since January 2022, the studio maintains its inclusive programming while expanding into themed workshop series, contributing handmade goods to the same La Mesa maker-retail corridor that stocks shelves at All the Cositas by Artelexia.
