Curbside Eatery & Drinkery has operated at the corner of La Mesa Boulevard and 3rd Avenue in La Mesa Village since 2017, running a scratch kitchen and craft bar behind wraparound curbside patios. The open-air concept uses industrial-style rollup windows to connect the indoor dining room with the sidewalk seating, a street-level format that places diners alongside the taco-counter energy at City Tacos on the same La Mesa Village block. The scratch kitchen sources local ingredients for dishes like braised short rib nachos, fresh ahi poke, and grass-fed Angus burgers on brioche buns, all built in-house rather than from pre-made components. The cocktail program mixes Old Fashioneds, mojitos, and seasonal specialty drinks alongside rotating local craft beers on tap. The corner location doubles as the prime viewing seat for La Mesa's annual Oktoberfest street closure and Holiday in the Village events, a front-row position on the same boulevard anchored by the Southeast Asian flavors at Bamboo Fresh Thai Cuisine further east. Weekend brunch service builds out a separate morning menu with egg plates, benedicts, and bottomless mimosa packages assembled from fresh-squeezed citrus.
