Municipal championship golf course at 11480 N Torrey Pines Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037, perched atop coastal bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Torrey Pines Golf Course is owned and operated by the City of San Diego and features two 18-hole championship courses: the South Course (7,802 yards, par 72, designed by William F. Bell and remodeled by Rees Jones) and the North Course (7,259 yards, par 72, redesigned by Tom Weiskopf). The South Course hosted the 2008 and 2021 U.S. Open Championships and is the annual home of the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open. San Diego residents play the South Course from $73 weekdays and the North Course from $51 weekdays; non-residents pay $258 and $163 respectively. Seniors (62+) get reduced resident rates. Facilities include a driving range, practice putting greens, and The Golf Shop at Torrey Pines — one of the largest on-course pro shops in the western United States. Dining at The Grill at Torrey Pines is adjacent to the course inside The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Tee times book up to 90 days in advance. Open daily from sunrise to sunset.
