Founded in 2016 by artist Fabio Fontinelle and his wife Rafaela Amaral, Bay Ink has grown to three San Diego locations including the flagship Bay Park shop. The Girard Village location sits in the same arts-and-beauty corridor as La Jolla Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center in the 7301 building, though the two serve entirely different clienteles. The La Jolla studio employs five artists specializing in realism, fine line, black and gray, color, and pop culture styles. Piercing services use sterile, biocompatible and gold jewelry.
