Co-owners Michael Harrison and Dillon Berkabile built Blue Whale around locally sourced, seed-oil-free ingredients and an ambitious menu that goes far beyond café norms — Ube Pancakes, build-your-own açaí bowls, lobster rolls, French toast, octopus tacos, a Wagyu smash burger, and fresh-catch seafood from San Diego waters. Chef Taylor Preus leads the kitchen. A small market section features local artisan goods and café merch. Open daily 8 AM–6 PM; outdoor patio only and street parking, so arrive early on weekends.
